Batangas is known for lots of things: centuries-old churches, irresistible delicacies, a volcano within a lake, a strong accent, and the balisong (butterfly knife). but a lot more than anything else, the one thing that first pertains to mind when Batangas is pointed out — beaches. even the Eraserheads knew this, when they sang about driving to the beach.

This early, I have to tell you that Batangas doesn’t have powdery beaches that are as white as the Oscars. If you’re trying to find Boracay-like sand strewn over kilometers of shore, you’re gonna be disappointed. That’s not to say that a trip to a Batangan beach won’t be enjoyable.

Fringing the southwestern idea of Luzon, Batangas harbors an excellent shoreline, made up of various types of beaches. Some are sandy, some pebbly, some rocky. Some are absolutely secluded, others fully developed. Each has its own charm. Each has its own market. but the top thing that makes Batangas beaches popular is its proximity to Manila. just a three- to four-hour drive from the capital, this southern Tagalog province uses an easy respite to the weary urbanite. here are 13 beaches in Batangas that are worth the trip (in no particular order).

Laiya is one of the most developed beaches in Batangas. and it’s not hard to see why. Its long and large stretch of sand attracts thousands and thousands of tourists especially during summer. many resorts, both high-end and budget, have mushroomed along the coast over the past years, making this a terrific option for those who want to just kick back and be comfortable. Laiya is also a favorite for corporate events.

Verde Island, Batangas City

Verde Island
Verde Island is part of Batangas City, but it is in no way as commercialized as the rest. situated 45 minutes off the mainland, it cradles a number of beach attractions that are nearly untouched including Mahabang Buhangin and Cueva Sitio.

The island also sits in the middle of Verde Island Passage, which is described by a 2007 Smithsonian Institute study as the “center of the center” of the world’s marine biodiversity citing the high concentration of marine species.

Where to stay: If you don’t want to stay overnight, you may stay in a hotel in Batangas City.

Manuel Uy Beach, Calatagan

Manuel Uy Beach
Manuel Uy beach resort is a rising day excursion and camping destination in Calatagan. It’s along the same coast that cradles Stilts Calatagan resort and Burot Beach. At first glance, it doesn’t look like a resort at all, a lot more like a camp site. With the exception of the shower and toilet rooms and a staff stations, there are no permanent concrete structures along the beach.

It is a long, large strip of cream-colored sand lapped gently by Calatagan’s signature shallow waters. It’s divided into two by an inlet. It’s also an optimal jump-off point to Starfish Island and a sandbar. Island hopping excursions are available on the beach for only P300 per person.

Masasa Beach, Tingloy

Masasa Beach
Completely isolated from mainland Batangas, the humble municipality of Tingloy remains untouched by the claws of development. Its best beach is called Masasa, a long, off-white stretch concealed in the southern edge of Maricaban Island (Tingloy’s main island).

Where to stay: There are no resorts or hotels in Masasa Beach. lots of check out it on a day excursion from Anilao.

Sombrero Island
If you like trekking, you’ve probably heard about Mt. Gulugod Baboy in Mabini. and if you’ve conquered Mt. Gulugod Baboy, you’ve probably heard about Sombrero Island. a lot of mountaineers and hikers coming down the hill opt to go on a day trip to this island before coming back to Manila.

So called for its shape, Sombrero Island has a rounded height surrounded by a bed of sand, where beach bums can laze and just take pleasure in the clear water.

Sepoc Beach, Tingloy

Sepoc Beach
Sepoc beach (or Sepoc Point) is a private strip owned and managed by Eagle point beach Resort, which allows it to be less swarmed as other beaches in Batangas. Lacing the northwestern idea of Tingloy, it can be included in Tingloy island hopping excursiOns de Masasa Beach ou Anilao. Fortune Island faz parte do município de Nasugbu. Na verdade, é uma surpresa que muitas pessoas fora de Batangas saibam sobre isso. Eu cresci ouvindo sobre esta ilha o tempo todo. As muitas características famosas da ilha são as colunas gregas, ruínas do que parece uma casa de descanso particular.

Calayo Beach, Nasugbu

Praia de Calayo
As praias de Nasugbu estão entre as primeiras da província a passar por um grande desenvolvimento. Existem resorts em todos os lugares, muitos dos quais têm sua própria enseada: Hamilo Coast e Punta Fuego, para citar alguns. Mas ainda existem praias abertas ao público em geral. A praia de Calayo é uma delas.

A praia de Calayo está alinhada com várias casas e orçamento para resorts de médio alcance. A areia aqui não é espetacular. Está bem, mas está mais próximo de marrom claro do que branco. Mas é o ponto de salto para melhores praias como Pulo Island, Kayraang Cove e Bituin Cove.

Ilha Pulo, Nasugbu

Ilha Loren
Os habitantes locais chamam de Pulo-Pulo, mas os turistas sabem disso como Ilha Pulo ou Loren Island. Sim, Loren como em Loren Legarda, que, de acordo com nossos barqueiros, possui esse pedaço do paraíso. Está localizado a apenas 20 minutos da praia de Calayo. A areia aqui não é branca ou fina, é bege e seixos na melhor das hipóteses, mas ainda usa uma maravilhosa fuga da ilha. A ilha tem duas praias e o que parece ser um banco de areia que se liga a outra ilhota rochosa.

Bituin Cove

Bituin Cove.
Dito que pertence ao senador Edgardo Angara, esta curta faixa de areia e telhas é um destino de acampamento em ascensão a apenas 20 minutos da praia de Calayo. Você pode passar a noite ou conferir como parte de uma turnê de salto na ilha. A taxa de entrada é P25. De Calayo Beach, pode ser alcançado com fretamento de um barco que custa P1500, bom para 12 PAX.

Ponto Malabrigo, Lobo

Praia de Malabrigo
Enquanto Laiya e Nasugbu atraem muitos moradores de Manila, Malabrigo conseguiu voar sob o radar todos esses anos, preservando seu apelo natural e excelente estado. Duas coisas podem ter pontuações de crédito para isso. Um é a sua localização. Aninhado em um município relativamente obscuro, pode ser alcançado por serpenteando ao longo das montanhas. A outra razão é que não é a sua praia normal. É uma praia de seixos. Em vez de areia fina, sua praia é composta de pedras cinza e branca de pequeno a médio porte. Há também um farol impressionante nas proximidades.

Matabungkay Beach, Lian

Praia de Matabungkay
Para acreditar nos locais, Matabungkay foi “redescoberto” no início dos anos 50 por alemães que estavam tentando encontrar um paraíso preferido na proximidade da movimentada Manila. Considerando que, então, Matabungkay se transformou de uma vila de pescadores básicos em um destino turístico. A costa está cheia de areia cinzenta que brilha um brilho branco quando abraçado pela luz do sol. É com a borda de uma longa pista de resorts e lojas. Cuidado, porém, a última vez que estive aqui, não pude deixar de notar o lixo repleto na praia.

Burot Beach, Calatagan

Praia de Burot
Durante muito tempo, Burot Beach foi um segredo mais bem guardado. Mas isso mudou recentemente como muito mais e muito mais chasers de praia descobriram. É uma enseada curta escondida na borda oeste de Punta de Santiago em Calatagan. Diz -se que foi comprado pelo Development Gigantic SM, mas permanece aberto para aqueles que buscam um caso curto com a natureza.

Onde ficar: acampar é o caminho a percorrer. Mas se não for o seu é o seu lugar, você pode permanecer em outros resorts na área.
